There comes a time
in many a persons life
when they just realize
"I've got to stop being such a wanker."

((This is an independent rp blog for Alice Kirkland (fem!England). I'll roleplay with everyone, though I do have my preferred ships. Just send me a message if you'd like to rp or just talk. Contrary to many beliefs, my Alice is not the pouty bitch everyone seems to make her. No, instead she's sweet, loving, open, motherly; the opposite of her male counterpart. I take my inspiration from Mary Poppins, because i feel that's how she would act.))

Peering into the frosty window of the Canadian’s house, she knocked on the door, holding a basket of homemade treats. She wrinkled her nose and waited for the boy to open the door before smiling widely and tilting her head slightly, “Matthew, sweetheart, it’s about time you’ve opened the door!” She chuckled and pulled him into a hug with her free arm, “I’m just kidding, dear, it’s so good to see you~”

With a small tingle in her stomach, she knew there was something up. It wasn’t a bad kind of tingle, it was more of something lighter, airy, and knowing. With her conscious telling her to turn her head, she did and spotted the familiar sibling of hers walking passed the markets on the other side of the street. Moving quickly, she crossed, dodging a car that seemed to be coming out of nowhere, but still, she made it over safe, politely tapping the other on his shoulder.

“Well, well, it’s been a while, dear brother. And still, so hard to catch you.”

Startled, he turned to face, well, himself (just more womanly), raising an eyebrow slightly before moving off to the side to let others through on the sidewalk. He was surprised to to say the least when he had seen her after not having seen her for a long while.

“Hard to catch? I’m surprised. I feel so much slower now. I feel as if I’m fitting in with the elderly.” He chuckled softly, though he wasn’t really joking. He had made a slight motioning to his right knee before placing his hand into his trench coat pockets, “Why have you so suddenly shown up? I haven’t heard from you in ages.”

“Now, now, wouldn’t you be the gentleman that you are and offer a cuppa to catch up instead of standing in the way of your darling people? We can go to your favourite cafe if you’d like.”

Her smile was as sweet as the rose scented perfume she wore lightly dabbed on her neck. Without awaiting an answer,  she linked his arm with hers, bringing him to the cafe they were both familiar with, and the only one that had a sure stock of Arthur’s favourite tea.

Finding a place to sit for the two of them, she smiled and ordered for the both of them and looked to the nation, “To answer your question, I’ve just missed London. I felt I’d take a trip up here for a day. I didn’t think I’d be running into you here. And you haven’t heard from me because I’ve been so busy taking care of the sick and wounded… I just couldn’t give up that job after the wars. I had to continue, I felt it was the thing I was best at… with you being the main voice of everything else…… though I believe this nation could use another woman’s touch.”
